All familiars grant a passive ability, which provides the caster with a unique buff depending on the type of familiar, lasting until the end of the summon duration.įamiliars can be controlled and can attack, but are not particularly strong, and don't possess any castable abilities. Granted that BPM uses this particular invocation as a base of SC Chanter design (it regenerates 2 ressources / 2 spells of the same tier except chanter's - but it is basically the same for Tier 9 since this Tier only has 1 cast) while it nerfs Brilliant. For chanter buff/de-buff innvocations and chants (blessed was wengridh/ aefyllath ues) and some damage. Offense chants like the party-wide fire lash work well with Beckoner since their summons have short durations. Id recommend light-medium armor, marked for the hunt, evasive roll, concussive shot, and some of the shared pet buffs for ranger (went stalker). It provides power source regeneration every 3 seconds and lasts a really long time, and other buffs too, amounting to increased power level and three stat boosts. If you go with ranged weapons, you could always pick that chant that lowers recovery/reload. End game, the most powerful ability is the one with brilliance inspiration (available at level 19 for multiclass). One of the following familiars are spawned at random. Ciphers been my main since PoE:1 but Im not as experienced with Chanters. Instead, when summoned they will provide the wizard with a passive effect that persists as long as the familiar is present. The first 6 seconds of combat are filled with waiting. Since summons only cost 2 phrases each for the Beckoner he can basically summon creatures all the time.

Familiars are capable of combat, but are not particularly effective at it. What do you chaps think of the Chanter subclasses Beckoner. Summons a helpful creature to aid the caster.
